A proper fit to a ring.
The ring should be snug enough on the finger to have some resistance when trying to remove, taking a little effort and wiggle to pass over the knuckle.
A narrow ring will fit differently than a wide ring. A wider ring can at times need to be slightly larger due to the surface covered on the finger.
Everybody is different, fingers can fluctuate in different temperatures, elevations and times of the day. We encourage you to purchase one of our finger sizers for the most accurate size. They are made of metal, not plastic, and in half size increments from size 1 to 16. This will give you an opportunity to confirm you true size with an accurate tool as well as reduce plastic waste. (Plastic sizers are not accurate nor is string)
Some rings can be sized without issue up or down ½ to 1 ½ sizes. Rings can also be sized in 1/8, 1/4, and 3/4 increments. Please inquire if the ring you choose can be sized. We do make some styles that are not easily sizable or cannot be sized in the traditional way.
